Service Alerts28th Street South Complete Streets Project: On the week of July 8, construction will start on the 28th Street South Complete Streets improvements project. Work will start at Site 3, at the intersection of 28th Street South and the southwest corner of Gunston Park and is expected to last about two weeks before moving to Site 2. Transfers to and from Fairfax County, Loudoun County, DASH, OmniRide and DC Circulator buses may require an additional fare.

Senior citizens age 65 and older, people with disabilities and customers with a Medicare card, pay a reduced fare. K-12 students receive the $1.10 student fare on ART only when paying with cash, a green iRide token or an iRide SmarTrip card. Regular fares can also be paid with a 7 Day Regional Bus Pass (loaded on SmarTrip) or a gold ART token. Children under the age of 5 ride free.
