Try Transit Week September 16 - 20

September 04, 2019

In celebration of Try Transit Week, September 16 – 20, Arlington Transit is planning some fun activities to encourage people to ride ART as well as thank current riders for using the service.

Throughout the week, the ART Prize Patrol will be riding various ART routes handing out giveaway items and thanking riders for using ART. Be on the lookout for the Prize Patrol when you board your ART bus!

On Thursday, September 19, everyone will get to ride ART for free! This will be a great opportunity for new riders to try ART and see where the service can take them.

Need help planning your trip? Visit the “How to Ride” section of the ART website to figure out which route to take and how to find the nearest bus stop.

Why should you use public transit?

  • It saves money. You’ll save on things like gas, tolls, car maintenance and parking fees.
  • It helps the environment. You’ll reduce your carbon footprint by using transit instead of driving alone.
  • It reduces traffic congestion. The more people that take transit, the fewer people on the road – making it easier to get to your destination.

Public transportation is a great way to get around and connect to your job, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and more! Pledge to Try Transit and you will be entered in a drawing for some fun prizes, including one year of free transit service and a pair of round-trip Amtrak tickets.

Try riding ART the week of September 16 – 20 and see what you think!
